Welcome to Meditation Way, my way of sharing wisdom I have learned through meditation and mindfulness myself. I have found meditation to be life-changing and would like to share it with others. Meditation and mindfulness can truly change your life, allowing you to experience more love, joy and peace than you have ever imagined. More and more people are looking to meditation and mindfulness to create more happiness in their lives.
It has been 6 1/2 years since I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and it seemed like my world turned upside down. Everything that I had taken for granted before seemed like a chore now. I was always tired, and was just learning exactly how bad my pain would get during a flare. I, like many others, took the pills the doctor gave me, thinking that I would be like the old me.
After being on pharmaceuticals for a year, I came to the realization one day, while walking around like a zombie, 40 pounds heavier, depressed every day, and sick to my stomach because of the pain pills, I decided that I could not continue to live that way. It was then that I began to research alternative methods to dealing with the fibromyalgia. Meditation was one of the first things I came across, so that is where I started. I stopped going to the doctor, taking the pills, and began meditating.
At first it was hard, my mind kept wandering, like the mind likes to do. So I found a soundtrack of meditation music and started with that. It took a while for me to be able to just observe the thoughts that went through my head, as opposed to getting all caught up with them like I used to do. I also struggled with experiencing pain while meditating, but I just kept plugging along, trying to meditate every day.
Meditation has helped me to cope with the fibromyalgia, still with no pills. It has also changed my perception, which was the biggest benefit of all. It allows me to see the world through different eyes, judging and criticizing less, complaining less, not letting the little things get to me.
Why I Want to Help People
Meditation was life-changing for me, and I am just a regular person, nothing special, just being human like everyone else. I believe meditation can help change the world, by changing the perspective of how we see the world.
My youngest informed me that I have way too much wisdom to not share with others, and what better way in this day and age, than creating a website that anyone anywhere can see. I only acquired this wisdom through meditation and mindfulness, and want to help others do the same.
Goal of this Website
My goal is to help others enjoy meditation and mindfulness, especially if you are just starting out on your journey. Meditation is very simple, but people see it as being not easy. I want people to experience the stillness that is within us all.
